Linaye Jones is an Executive Agency Counsel at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (“HPD”) where she supports the City’s Office of Legal Affairs in its Contracts and Real Estate Division in serving to promote quality and affordable housing of new construction developments throughout city neighborhoods.

Prior to joining HPD, Linaye worked at a New York City based law firm specializing in residential real estate, bankruptcy and coops/condos representation. She has represented purchasers, sellers and lending institutions in residential real estate transactions.

She is well versed in pre-contract due diligence, contract negotiations and has handled numerous transactions from deal inception to closing. Linaye has always been complimented for her professionalism, expertise and calm demeanor by her clients, brokers and other industry professionals.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from New York Law School and is admitted to practice law in New York State.
